Privacy Policy — The Professionals

1. What The Professionals is

The Professionals is a personal address book for the small set of trusted professionals (electrician, plumber, handyman, etc.) you want to be able to reach quickly. The app is built for your use — it is not a marketplace, a directory, or a referral platform.

2. What we collect

3. What we do not collect

We do not read contacts you didn't pick in the import sheet.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers.
We do not include the personal data of your pros (their names, numbers, emails, notes, photos) in analytics or crash reports.

4. Who can see your data

You. Your pro list is private to your Firebase user ID. Other The Professionals users cannot browse or search it.
Google (Firebase) as our processor, under their Data Processing Terms, hosting data in Google Cloud region me-west1 (Tel Aviv).
Authorities, only if we receive a legally binding order in our jurisdiction.

5. Notifications to professionals — the important part

We do not notify professionals you have added to your private list. Saving someone in The Professionals is, by default, a purely local act between you and the app.

You may choose to actively share a pro card with another The Professionals user (system share sheet, deep link, QR code). Only then does anyone besides you see that record.

Optional — and only if you enable it in Settings: we may send the professional a one-time, anonymous notification that "someone has added you to The Professionals." This notification:

is sent only when the feature is explicitly turned on by you, and only for pros for whom you provided a phone number that is also registered in MePro (our companion app for professionals);
never reveals your identity, the contents of the pro card you saved, how you got their number, or how many people have saved them;
lets the professional claim and verify their MePro profile if they choose to.

The professional has the right to opt out of these anonymous notifications at any time inside MePro, and the right to ask support+myprof@yaronj.com to suppress future notifications even without installing MePro.

6. Sharing flows you can opt into

Friend share. When you tap Share → "Share to The Professionals friend," we encode a slimmed-down copy of the pro (name, phones, emails, category name, optional photo) into a link or QR code. The recipient sees only what you sent.
System share sheet. Standard iOS / Android sharing (Messages, Mail, WhatsApp). The Professionals does not receive a copy of where you sent it.

7. Photos

Photos you attach to a pro are resized client-side and stored in Firebase Cloud Storage under your private user ID. They are accessible only to your authenticated account.

8. Data retention and deletion

Delete account. Settings → Account → Delete Account erases your Firestore documents, Cloud Storage blobs, FCM device records, and Firebase Authentication user.
Local data. Uninstalling the app removes the local store from the device. Cloud data is unaffected unless you also delete your account.
Backups. Firebase retains backups for up to 30 days; after that, deleted data is unrecoverable.

9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / Israeli Privacy Protection Law)

You can:

Access / port your data via support+myprof@yaronj.com.
Correct any pro record by editing it inside the app.
Delete your account and data as in Section 8.
Object / restrict by uninstalling the app.

Israeli residents may file a complaint with the Privacy Protection Authority (Reshut HaHaganah Al HaPratiyut). EU residents may file with their national DPA.

10. Children

The Professionals is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has registered, contact support+myprof@yaronj.com and we will delete the account.

11. Changes

We will update this policy by changing the Effective date above and prompting acceptance again on next launch.
